How to play Star Battle (Crowns)
One crown per row, column and colour
Crowns is a star battle puzzle: the grid is split into colours, and you place crowns.
The rules
- One crown in every row, column and colour.
- Crowns never touch, not even diagonally.
- Tap once for × (ruled out), twice for a crown. Drag to paint ×.
- Every puzzle has exactly one solution, and you never have to guess.

Tips for beginners
- A colour that lies all in one row holds that row's crown. Cross out the other cells of that row. The same goes for a column.
- A crown rules out its row, its column, its colour and the eight cells around it. The game marks these for you with a light ×.
- If two colours fit inside the same two rows, those two rows' crowns belong to them. Cross out every other cell in those rows.
