Delete your Logic Trio data

Logic Trio is a puzzle game made by Nimbleknot. It has no account, no sign-in and no server, so there is no profile of you anywhere to close. Your progress and settings are kept only on your own phone, and you can erase all of it yourself in a few seconds. The records the game sends to Google are covered further down.
How to delete everything, in the game
Open Logic Trio → tap Me → tap Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap Delete my data.
It asks you to confirm. When you do, the game becomes new: it opens as if you had just installed it.
You do not need to ask anyone, wait for anything, or be online. The deletion happens on the phone, immediately, and it cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the game does the same thing. Android removes the whole of it with the app.
What that deletes
All of it, immediately and permanently:
- every puzzle you have solved, your best times and your stars
- your streak, your freezes, your gold days and your monthly trophies
- your hints
- your settings — theme, language, sound, vibration, colour-blind patterns, how you place a crown, your reminder time
- your scheduled daily reminders, which are cancelled on the phone
- the small diagnostic log the game keeps on the phone
- any half-finished board
What is kept, and by whom
Your progress is gone for good. There is no server and no database, so there is no copy of it anywhere but your phone.
Three things are not erased by that button, and it is only fair to say so plainly:
1. Your own Google Drive backup
If Android's automatic backup is switched on, your phone may have copied the game's save file to your own Google Drive, the same way it backs up your other apps. That copy is in your Google account, not ours, and we cannot reach it. You can remove it in your phone's settings, under Google → Backup, or by turning backup off for Logic Trio.
2. Analytics records and crash reports
While you play, the game sends Google Analytics records of what happened in it — which puzzle was opened, how long it took, whether a hint was used — and, if it crashes, a crash report to Firebase Crashlytics. Both go into the developer's own Google Analytics and Firebase accounts, where the developer can read them. They are filed under random IDs, never under a name or an email address. Google Analytics deletes each record after 14 months; crash reports are kept for 90 days and then deleted. The Delete my data button does not reach them.
3. What Google's advertising holds
The adverts come from Google AdMob, which receives an advertising identifier, an approximate area from your IP address and records of the ads shown, and keeps them under Google's own retention rules. That data goes to Google, not to the developer. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is collected and how long each part is kept.
You control these directly on your phone:
- Reset or delete your advertising ID: Android → Settings → Privacy → Ads. Deleting it stops adverts being personalised to your device.
- If you live in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, the game shows you Google's consent form and you can change your answer at any time in Me → Settings → Your data → Privacy choices. Refusing there also switches off the Analytics records above and throws away those still waiting on the phone to be sent.
- Uninstalling the game stops every record, everywhere. What was already sent is deleted on the schedule above. The one ID that outlives the game is your phone's advertising ID, which the ads and Analytics also received. Reset or delete it (first point above) and nothing on your phone links to those records any more.

Google Analytics can delete one phone's records, but only when it is given the random app-instance ID they are filed under, and Logic Trio does not show that ID anywhere. An email carries nothing that points to your records, so they cannot be picked out from other players', and we will not claim to have deleted something we could not find. What does work is in the list above: refuse measurement in Privacy choices where it is offered, or uninstall, and nothing new is recorded; what is already there is deleted automatically after 14 months, crash reports after 90 days. Your progress itself is entirely in your hands, on your phone. Questions are welcome all the same and will be answered.
